Givenchy Equestrian Rainboot
Rain boots are a must have during the wetter months when you can't escape the rain on a day out but I find that wellies are sometimes just a bit too chunky and too much for the look I'm going for so when I discovered these boots my jaw dropped. They have been exactly what I have been looking for. They give off the appearance of leather, but are in fact made of rubber which is a practical as it will make it so much easier for you to keep them clean with a quick wipe down. The bonus is... they only have a price tag of $250, a bargain for Givenchy!

MFW Moschino Spring 2012
Every jacket = Perfection, Timeless, Chic.
There were other styles and colour palettes with less metallics in the collection but they kind of seemed like buffers... something to expand this season's collection, nothing that would make me OR you go "WOW". You may have noticed that this selection of the collection has some similarities to Balmain's collection from a couple of seasons ago, this is not criticism, just an observation and I am loving what I am observing.

MFW Versace Spring 2012
When the leather trend was taking the nation by storm, I wasn't so keen on it, but I was quickly persuaded by Vogue when I realised that wearing leather doesn't mean you have to look manly and boxy with a mod rock heavy metal vibe or, in the other extreme, someone who likes to perform S&M.
Leather, if tailored well, can be feminine and sultry as can be seen in this tiny snap shot of Versace's collection. The studs are exactly where they should be and I am adoring the oceanic theme with the seahorses and shells. It's new and fresh.
For those of us who are classed as tall, we should hop on board the long pencil skirt trend as it gives us a slimmer frame without drastic measures and will give you that all important high fashion glam. But I stress that you need one of a good quality as the poor quality fabrics tend to wrinkle and stretch and tend to lose their shape very quickly.
For all you petite girls, shorts are the way to elongate your legs, but make sure you find the shorts with the right cut off point otherwise it will have adverse effects. What I have also found is that high waisted shorts are the best for hiding little tummy pooches and it cuts off at the slimmest point on your body which will you give that gorgeous hourglass shape which some of you many may be looking for.

MFW Fendi Spring 2012
Karl Lagerfeld is serving up playful stripes and cut out shoulders this season. Those LBDs are screaming for me! Although this collection isn't as innovative as some of the others, there is something about the shapes and pattern combo which makes them stand out. It's nothing that makes you go WOW, but more like mmmmmmm!

MFW Gucci Spring 2012
Masculine-Feminine with an art deco twist. One of my favourite colour palettes this season, black with metallic accents. So much texture in each look begging to be touched. I used to hate sequins on clothing, there's something about bling bling on clothes which make it look tacky, but that was before I knew the different between high street and high fashion. In the past, the high street used to just put the cheapest embellishments and try to sell them off at a premium price but in the past couple of years they seem to have learned that its not just about putting the sparkles on the clothes, but more the quality of the materials used and the location of where they are, it really does make so much difference. Take this Balmain dress for example, to the untrained eye this looks like any other gold sequin dress, easily dupable by the high street, no?
Because the high street will not put so much care into making a garment like this, they will simply buy fabric which already has the sequins sewn onto the dress and then with some half hearted ruche-ing give you something like this. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad.... but it just doesn't have she same appeal as the original dress which seems to flow like liquid gold on the body whereas the other just kind of sits... kind of awkwardly... so back to my point, I only started to turn to the sparkly side when I laid my eyes upon Balmain's 2010 Fall collection, which was more than a feast for the eyes with more gold than I had ever seen on a runway.
NO!
Why?
Because the high street will not put so much care into making a garment like this, they will simply buy fabric which already has the sequins sewn onto the dress and then with some half hearted ruche-ing give you something like this. I was in AWE. I still am.

Recent Purchase: Asos Semi Sheer Maxi
I have been lusting over this style of skirt for a long while but I hadn't found one which had the combination of the perfect length and the perfect pleat. Trust Asos tick off one of the items on my To-Buy-List! Now I need the right weather to complement this skirt...

LFW Mulberry Spring 2012
LOVING the colour scheme in this collection. Especially the tan leather two piece. So simple yet so chic. Those embellishments are so extreme and so bold and you probably couldn't sit down if you were wearing those pieces, who cares? They are so perfectly chunky and yummy! It's probably harsh or even deemed to be fashionably incorrect (?) to compare Mulberry with H&M, but I remember in one of H&M's recent collection they actually had the whole flower embroidery on their clothes. Shame the whole nation beat me to the stores!
Since last Fall when camel, beige, tans and neutrals were the IT colour, I have been OBSESSED with those shades and I am STILL OBSESSED. Camel, if in the right shade can make your item of clothing a sophisticated, timeless, classic staple a GREAT example of this is MaxMara's Camel Wool Coat with just a very simple belt to tie at the waist.
I need one of these.

LFW Christopher Kane Spring 2012
I think these photos speak volumes of quality in the clothes. Crisp Shirts and floral satin skirts. The modernized 60s themed floral prints are so pretty. The colour palette is prefect for spring. What do you think of the shoes? I think the general opinion on them are that they're... not meant for this collection... or any collection! But people thought that about the Prada Platform Brogues...

LFW Topshop Unique Spring 2012
Completely not what I was expecting from Topshop. Loving the egyptian theme, which I haven't seen in a long while. The gold accents are just enough to give the clothes a pick-me-up. The last 4 looks have me drooling.

LFW Jonathan Saunders Spring/Summer 2012
I don't know what the weather is like on your side of the world right now. Normally it would be raining and windy, absolutely miserable at around late September/ October in UK but surprisingly its rather summery! As I am looking through Jonathan Saunders collection I just wish I had these pieces in my wardrobe right now. The silky pieces are making me drool, so feminine, so effortless, so perfectly casual.

LFW Julien Macdonald Spring/Summer 2012
I LOVE the whole sequin-lace-skin look. There's something about it which makes it super sexy yet at the same time very classy. Showing skin yet covering up in the most sensual way. The high street has served us well, by us I mean fashion addicts on a budget, for example Herve Leger's body con dresses and skirts which at one point in the fashion industry was a completely new concept and became the must have brand for the rich and famous & fashion fiends but have now flooded mainstream market and become affordable. But sadly the high street has failed me in this department, the department of the sequin-lace-skin look or maybe they're still working on it, only time will tell.

Miu Miu Glitter Pumps F/W11
Under normal circumstances, glitter and sparkles is a no go area for me but I just CANNOT take my eyes off these, its scary how alluring they are. But with a $650 price tag... it's a little off putting. I think it's time to get the DIY on...
Miu Miu have also gone glitter craaaazy with their sneakers which are also oh so glam!
Many people have fallen for them but prefer to make their own, one such person is Erica from "Honestly...WTF". Check out the end result!
You could apply the same technique on the pair of pumps instead.
