I agree the real fur industry these days is cruel and it shouldn't really exist and I am not promoting the wear of real fur, I am well aware of all the unnecessary pain and suffering of animals. These days there are so many great faux fur options not only in the quality but also in price and upkeep. Obviously that doesn't stop people from buying fur as there are already vintage fur coats on sale, I condone the sale of VINTAGE REAL FUR but NOT NEW REAL FUR. I mean if the animal has already died 50 years ago, it would be a shame just to bury/hang it in a wardrobe, the garment might as well be appreciated for generations to come, but I don't think that any animal should die nowadays for the sake of fashion as we now have the technology to manufacture better materials.
But then again, have you considered the leather trade? Leather doesn't just come from the cows that we use for meat, there are cows which are bred just for it's leather and they go through the same suffering and cruelty as the animals used in the fur trade. Can you make the bold step in saying no to fur AND LEATHER? If you can, then I take off my theoretical hat and bow down to you just as I did when I saw the Stella McCartney video for PETA. I always hate it when Winter comes around, because it never gets cold enough to wear fur here! And these looks are fantastic, so now I wish even more that it got colder!
So pretty! I love fur so much!
