Christmas in the Alps


This Christmas I was in search for some snow and as UK wasn't providing any, I decided to trek all the way to the alps to guarantee myself a true winter whiteout. 

No matter how hard you try, it's difficult to make skiing (or snowboarding) a fashionable affair. Don't believe those Chanel skiing ads, you really cannot survive the winter chill or sudden snowstorms in skinny leggings and skin tight tops! The only fashionable aspect of dressing in the mountains are your snow boots, you could go as fluffy or as puffy as you want. If you're planning a skiing holiday I would highly suggest that you buy yourself a good pair of snow boots, you shouldn't underestimate the danger of the snow and ice! My boyfriend thought that a pair of military boots from Zara would suffice and BOY WAS HE WRONG, he was slipping and sliding everywhere like a puppy on ice. Fortunately for him with the sales in swing, he managed to hustle a pair from one of the resort shops. Why not make the most of the deals on snow boots in the January sales!
