Runway | Balmain Spring '14




To me, no fashion week round up is complete without the Balmain collection for the season. Spring 2014 at the house of Balmain is a more "relaxed" affair than the previous collections but still in keeping with the use of the houndstooth print, quilted fabrics and chain details. “I know what the Balmain girl looks like in the evening. Now I want to know what she looks like at nine in the morning,” explains Olivier Rousteing. The hint of sports chic that makes references to the 1990's era mixed with the luxurious accents of golden buttons and intricate metallic floral embroidery is the perfect combination for the "casual" Balmain girl.
